Darkside is an offshoot of the renowned Trenton Punk Rock Flea Market (TPRFM), which has been a staple of the alternative scene for over a decade. Known for its DIY ethos and creative spirit, TPRFM laid the foundation for Darkside NJ’s immersive and community-driven experience, taking the concept into darker, more mysterious realms.

The event is the brainchild of Joseph Kuzemka, an award-winning creative director and professional marketer with over 30 years of experience. Joseph has produced nearly 100 large-scale events during his career, with a focus on crafting offbeat, unique, and unforgettable experiences. His vision for Darkside was born out of a passion for the macabre and a desire to create an event unlike any other - an experience that combines art, performance, and community in a celebration of the dark and unusual.
